MS. NEHA GUPTA, STUDENT, SIKKIM GOVERNMENT LAW COLLEGE, BAGGED DIPLOMACY AWARD IN NORTH EAST INDIA INTERNATIONAL MODEL UNITED NATIONS [DECEMBER, 2017]

NEIMUN 2017 was a residential leadership conference. The date of Conference was from 15th-18th December 2017. The theme for the 5th Session of NEIMUN was Youth Peace and Security held at Don Bosco Institute, Dimapur, Nagaland. Many institutes across North Eastern region of India participated in the Session and Sikkim had the highest number of delegates more than 30 delegates.

Ms. Neha Gupta, student of Sikkim Government Law College was a part of G4 i.e., General Assembly 4 for which the agenda was Rights and Protection of Refugees Fleeing Conflict. The Secretary cum mentor of G4 was Gadi Dreyfuss from Florida, United States of America. Assigned with the responsibility of representing Japan as delegate Ms. Neha was also selected to present the common proposals of the countries and she further represented entire Assembly in the closing plenary.
For her overall performance and diplomacy skills in the NEIMUN, Ms. Neha Gupta won the Diplomacy Award being the only delegate from more than 30 delegates who represented Sikkim in NEIMUN, 2017.
